This event marks the second of three exclusive sensory-friendly shows organized by DCPS for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, specifically those in grades 3 to 5. In this immersive experience presented by The Story Ship, viewers witness the captivating story unfold as Sarah, the science reporter, is unexpectedly abducted by extraterrestrial beings and whisked away aboard a spaceship destined for the outer reaches of our solar system. Audience members are called upon to swiftly assemble a Rescue Team, employing elements of magic, dance, and music to aid in her retrieval. Throughout the performance, active engagement is encouraged, with audience volunteers actively participating every minute to two minutes, contributing to magic tricks, singing, dancing, and steering the rescue rocket through an interactive gaming experience, culminating in the unraveling of a celestial musical message.
