The Mandarin Art Festival rolls around again on Easter weekend at the Mandarin Community Club in Jacksonville, over at 12447 Mandarin Road. Its a longstanding gig with fine art displays, a green market full of fresh finds, and a kids art show where tiny Picassos get their moment in the sun, all for a suggested donation at the gate.

Families wander the vendor booths shaded by those big oak trees, poking at handmade stuff and chuckling at the youthful interpretations of masterpieces. Its the kind of laid back community vibe where you can nod appreciatively at some abstract blobs and feel cultured without trying too hard.
