In this vibrant and humorous adaptation of the classic folk tale recorded by the Brothers Grimm, a pampered princess loses her golden ball in a well. A noble frog retrieves it for her, asking only for her promised friendship in return. However, when the princess breaks her promise, she must confront the consequences. This faithful retelling is suitable for Grades K–5 and explores themes such as art, family ties, folk tales, language arts, literary classics, music, puppets, reading, and character development.
