On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville is doing that thing where they let families wander around the galleries and the pretty outdoor spaces while also getting their hands dirty with art projects. The activities are supposedly inspired by whatever exhibits are up at the time, so you can feel cultured while your kid paints a masterpiece that looks like a blob with eyes. It is a chance for children and adults to share a creative experience without anyone having to say "please don't touch that" more than a dozen times.

And really, what else are you going to do on a Thursday in June? Sit inside and argue about air conditioning settings? This event gives everyone an excuse to go outside, look at some flowers, and make something that will probably end up on the fridge for the next three years. It is not a sales pitch, just a heads up that the museum is letting people be artsy and messy for a few hours. Bring your patience and maybe some wipes.
