During the week of Aug. 25 to 31, 2025, Jacksonville Public Library branches will run a mix of free programs for children, teens, and families. Consider it a schedule of organized chaos with a focus on books, building, and mildly competitive craft projects.

Highlights include Family Storytime, LEGO Club, and Play & Learn sessions that quietly teach early literacy while letting kids be kids. There will also be craft activities, STEAM workshops, and interactive storytimes aimed at sparking imagination and a taste for reading. Expect gluey fingers, proud but occasionally wobbly LEGO towers, and plenty of simple, hands on ways for families to connect.
