Swing by MOSH for a chill workshop where you can flex those crafty muscles and make your own parol, the beautiful Filipino lantern that's basically the Christmas MVP. This isn't just any old ornament; it hails from the charming tradition of strutting around with lights during the nine-day Christmas Novena, or Simbang Gabi if you want to impress your friends. The talented folks from the Jax Filipino School will be on hand to guide you through the process, so you won't be lost in a sea of paper and string. Not feeling super crafty? No problem—there will be larger, ready-made parols available for purchase.

This shindig is open to everyone aged 15 and up, so feel free to bring your friends, family, or even that neighbor who still owes you a favour. Your ticket covers all the materials you'll need, plus some delicious lumpia to keep your energy up and drink tickets to help spark your creativity. And hey, it's all for a good cause, since the proceeds are going straight to support the cool programs at the Jacksonville Filipino School.
