The Jacksonville Symphony is putting on its usual Holiday Pops concert at the Times-Union Center, where the orchestra tackles festive arrangements of carols and those holiday songs everyone pretends not to know all the words to. Throw in some seasonal decorations and special guests popping up onstage, and its basically an indoor escape from whatever winter weirdness is brewing outside, suitable for dragging the whole family along without too much groaning.

Tickets are mandatory, naturally, with prices shifting based on your seat choice and kids often getting a break on the cost. Just another way to kill a holiday evening without resorting to endless reruns of the same old specials.
